Thought I'd take a break from those heavy duty layered cards and try to make a simple thank you for my sister. She made all the travel plans for our recent trip to Florida and did all the driving and she loves "yellow", so thought I'd combine yellow with brown since I had some retired SU rub ons #2007#. Even though the card appears simple, it seems it took me just as long as some of the more complicated ones trying to get it to look right and have just the right embellishments. I don't know how people do the CAS cards so beautifully and so simply!!! UGGHH...
Anyway, I used the SU rub ons, added some chocolate pearls #from my buddy Wattle#, used the SU oval punches and paper piercer and that was it. Hard to believe it took as long as it did to come up with something simple!
Thanks for taking the time to look and if you have a moment, let me know what you think!!! Have a great evening and weekend!!

Pam, this is just a beautiful card done in yellow. It looks like sunshine which makes one happy. I sure would like to see some today...raining hard here.
I think your sister will LOVE this "made from the heart" card. I have a new appreciation for rub ons. I made a CAS card a while back with rub ons and I think it got more comments than any card I've done..came close, anyway. This is a 'thumbs up' all the way!!

Well, you've got the 3P's of cardmaking happening here (punching, pearls and piercing) so of course I think it's just fabulous... I too have a bunch of underused and underloved rubons that should be retrieved from whichever pile they've crawled under and put to good use on a card! Hope you're having a great day! Your sister oughta love this...
